Creating content for Linkedin - National Apprenticeship Week x HITZ

As social media channels go, LinkedIn can sometimes be seen as a poor relation in terms of reach and the ability to be creatively engage. With so much focus on TikTok, Instagram and the usual suspects – how much thought do you give to tailoring your content for a more corporate audience via LinkedIn?

If online stats are to be believed the UK has between 34-38 Million LinkedIn users and follows a growth trajectory of around 1.5 million users annually. Even if you take these stats with a pinch of salt – this audience is still HUGE and shouldn’t be ignored.

But proceed with caution – apply a one size fits all approach to your social content and you could fall at the first hurdle.

Our client Premiership Rugby is keen to engage more businesses with its employability and education programme HITZ, and the annual National Apprenticeship Week provides the perfect opportunity to talk about one of the programmes outcomes.

Applying a tried and trusted formula of channel selection + audience relevance + authentic storytelling, we have taken HITZ onto LinkedIn via a series of videos which showcase the firm bond created between some of its clubs and local businesses which have led to employment for former HITZ students. Ultimately people like to see people like them to help them imagine what might be possible.

Laylla Stanley, HITZ Programme Delivery Manager at Premiership Rugby says, “Over 80% of learners progress immediately into education, employment or training after their time on HITZ. This success rate would not be possible with the support of businesses like Molson, Suez and Connolly investing their time and support to develop the next generation of workers. We hope to use these stories and National Apprenticeship Week to showcase the quality of HITZ students and highlight the business benefits to be reaped by hiring future apprentices from HITZ, encouraging more businesses to reach out to and work with our clubs across the country.”
