Get The Affect Appointed by the London Landmarks Half Marathon
We’re delighted to announce that we have been appointed to support the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2021.
Our appointment comes after the race organisers, baby charity Tommy’s, recently announced that the 2021 edition of this unique event has been moved to Sunday 1 August 2021.
We’ve been working behind the scenes with the LLHM team since last summer when the event was unfortunately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing senior counsel and strategic communications advice and support around the decision.
Race Director Lia Fyles said;
“I worked with Nas on the 2020 London Landmarks Half Marathon when she was the MD at Promote PR. Working with Nas was an absolute joy. She has so much experience and knowledge which was particularly invaluable to us last year when we had to cancel the event. Nas played a large part in the communications around this decision and our handling was highly praised. Nas is passionate, adaptable, professional and very easy to work with, so it was a very easy decision to continue working together to support the LLHM2021.”
Around 14,500 runners are set to cross the start line on Sunday 1st August in this one-off summer spectacular which takes in London’s most iconic Landmarks. The 100% not for profit event, which is organised by Tommy’s to benefit themselves and many other good causes, hopes to raise in excess of £6 million for multiple charities in 2021.
The 2021 LLHM was due to take place in May, however, following the announcement of the Government’s roadmap for lifting national restrictions, the organisers moved the race to August to ensure the event goes ahead in 2021.
For one year only, the LLHM will be re-themed to celebrate the landmark moments of how we are coming together as a nation during the Covid-19 pandemic. With light now at the end of the tunnel and a summer of joy tantalisingly close, the LLHM2021 new one-off theme will provide a moment for reflection and celebration - expect a Clap for Carers Bridge, Quiz Corners and a very special Memory Mile.
The public ballot is now closed so the only way to secure a place in this iconic race is to run for one of the 170+ LLHM 2021 charity partners. To find out more about how to secure a place visit https://llhm.co.uk/charity-places
