Houses of Parliament Host Community Heroes

In a sport which is proud of the ‘rugby family’ it has created, community is at the heart and centre of all Premiership Rugby clubs so the Annual Community Awards is a real family get together, just in a really posh venue - the Houses of Parliament.

GTA lead the comms for the annual Premiership Rugby Community Awards to shine a light on the amazing work which happens across the country. Liaison with sports ministers, crafting quotes from MPs and ensuring every club’s nominee is crafted into a compelling story to appeal to the media all comms together to deliver wide spread coverage.

The awards ceremony itself requiring sensitivity around the individual’s stories. GTA worked tirelessly with the Community Team at Premiership Rugby and the club foundations to ensure comms remained celebratory whilst providing the necessary gravitas of just how much the individuals had achieved often in the face of their own personal challenges. GTA managed multiple third parties to produce content, assets and toolkits to celebrate each and every shortlisted nominee and winner. The resulting output from GTA ensured delivery of key messages on the wide range of Premiership Rugby community programmes whilst making shortlisted nominees feel like the community heroes that they are.
